It's a Gold Star Day!

It's Monday, May 8, and I'm excited to tell you that I accomplished a very big goal today. It's a target that I set last September when I first joined Weight Watchers 8 months ago at the end of September. Every time you lost 5 pounds you get a gold star at Weight Watchers -- just a little way of recognizing some progress.

This evening to celebrate my birthday I got my gold star for topping the 40-pound mark since joining WW! And I'm excited about it. No, I haven't arrived at my destination. But it took me 12 weeks to move from 35 to 40 pounds. This has been a tough one. I would get within a couple of ounces, then go back up a half pound, then down, then up -- for 12 long weeks. But today I finally got my gold star!

I hope you know I'm just celebrating by telling you this -- no other intent. My next big target is to get another gold star before Jamie's wedding! I'll keep you posted on progress. And thanks for your support.

Blessings to you all!

Just me said...

Congratulations on your GOLD STAR and 40 pounds! I know how tough it is with the teetering weight, I'm there right now, up a little, down a little, up a little more, you know the story. I'm so proud that you met your goal and have done so well. Congrats Skinny Dad! (better than whooper man, huh?)

Love,
Jamie
