Is It Cold in MN?

I remember when we were preparing to move to Minnesota seven years ago. A girl in Wal-Mart in Oklahoma asked Debbie if it ever got warm in MN. She had heard that it was winter all year long. Just so you'll kn0w -- winters are long here, but it definitely does get warm here. Today the temperature was 100 degrees in beautiful Elk River.

The nice thing here is that with a nice breeze and lots of trees, that temperature is bearable.

I had the privilege of filling in for our Pastor at Northwood Church this morning. I spoke concerning Moses and his encounter with the burning bush in Exodus chapter 3. Debbie sang with the Worship Team, making it a great day all the way!

Happy Memorial Day!

That sounds great! I guess you are being prepared for Southern heat... I don't think we've had anything higher than 90s in Oklahoma.

Our sermon this week was titled, "Remember to Forget." Meaning we should forget the negative situations in our lives and try to always think on the good.

Today we are going out to Dale's to fish for a few hours. I'm sure it will be warm and windy. Later in the day we will cook out. I just finished baking a cake and making a corn salad.

With much prompting from the ladies I work with, I have completed several bridal registries at Penney's, Target, and Williams Sonoma. I have one started at Dillard's, but it needs lots of modications before being viewable. Oh what fun!!! The ladies I work with are having a shower on June 14. That should be fun!

Hey, it was 101 in Stillwater on the last two days we were there -- the same time that our air conditioner in the Passport quit. But I guess this could be God's sense of humor, getting us ready for the "cool south" in the plains of Texas.

I bet that time out fishing was a great time. I'm looking forward to doing that again after this big project is completed.

June 14 will be a good day for a bridal shower!! That was also your Grandma and Grandpa Russell's wedding anniversary.
