It's Sunday evening May 21 and we're home at last. For the last week we have been in Oklahoma and Texas. 2,540 miles, two trips to the car repair shop, an air conditioner that suffered terminal cardiac arrest while the Stillwater temperature was 101 degrees on two days in a row -- and now we're home, very tired, a worn out little Gabriel -- but home, safe and sound. We left Stillwater Saturday when the temperature was above 100 degrees, and arrived in Elk River this afternoon when the temperature was 56 which slight chance of frost tomorrow morning! Home Sweet Home!
It was a good trip! We had a good time with JD, Kendra, Dylan and Ryan, plus special evenings with Derek, Allison, Jamie and Dale. We had a productive day in Texas on Wednesday -- more news about that later.
I just wanted to let you know that we're home. I've already mowed the front and side yards -- the grass was high after a week away. The back yard gets its turn tomorrow evening.
Blessings to you and yours this tonight.

I'm glad you made it home safe! I'm sure the temperatures feel much better to you. When you are closer, we'll have many more opportunities for special visits! I look forward to that! We enjoyed seeing you Saturday, Monday, and Thursday evenings. This Friday is the last school day and then things should slow down a bit for us.
Take care... love,
Jamie
