This has been a wonderful Christmas Day! One of the fun parts of our Christmas is to give little gifts to Gabriel and watch him have fun opening them. He loves opening his presents. We wrap them in tissue paper so it's easy for him to rip the paper off. As with any child, he loves opening them and only after all are open, he goes back and plays with his toys.
We went to church Christmas morning to celebrate Jesus, Whose birthday we were celebrating. Since the Maple Grove Community Center where our church usually meets was closed for Christmas, we met at a nearby Senior Care facility for a carol sing and communion. It was such a nice time of worship! Some of the facility residents joined us. We had a nice surprise -- following the service, two families invited us to their homes for Christmas dinner today. (On Christmas Eve, our new Pastor and wife invited us to join their extended family for a great time together after the Christmas Eve services -- we loved it!). We love the many ways God surprises us!
Debbie prepared our "traditional Christmas lunch" -- sliced Hickory Farm beef and turkey, cheese, crackers, pickles, little smokies. She fixed those on our first Christmas together and it was so neat, we've done it every year since. In the afternoon we went to the afternoon movie and saw "The Chronicles of Narnia", then to dinner with a special friend in our church.
I hope you have had a wonderful, blessed day! Remember Whose birth we celebrate -- and let's do it up good for His glory and honor!

It was a lovely day, but I think enjoyed Christmas Eve more this year. :-)
